The organised system of cables, connectors, patch panels and racks that physically connects every device on a network. Passive infrastructure is the part that carries signals without powering them. It is installed once and outlasts several generations of network hardware, so installation quality matters for years.
For desktop, phone, camera and wireless access point connections.
For backbone links between floors, buildings and racks.
Network and server room racks, patch panels and cable management.
Faceplates, trays, conduit and raceways that route and protect the cabling.
How we deliver
Cabling buyers judge contractors on method and documentation. This is how a Sensoft cabling project runs.
Walk the site and map outlet positions, cable routes and rack locations.
A layout and an itemised materials list for your approval.
Run, terminate and dress cables to the approved plan.
Every link tested before handover.
Every cable, port and panel labelled to one scheme, for example FL02-R01-PP03-24.
As-built drawings, test results and the labelling schedule.
Types of project
After the cables are in
Most cabling projects lead straight into network and server work, and Sensoft can support the finished site through ongoing management.
It depends on the number of points and site conditions. We confirm a schedule after the site survey.
Work can be phased or scheduled outside business hours to limit disruption.
Test results are included in the handover documentation.
